Offline Wiki saves and downloads a copy of nearly all of the textual content of the English Wikipedia locallyso that it can be accessed without internet connectivity and also when it is not available online, like as on wednesday wikipedia will close for 24 hours to Protest against SOPA.
Offline Wiki downloads and saves a compressed dump file and an index and gives you two options to download these dump files based on their size. The smaller version contains only popular and most searches articles which have 14MB of size and the larger version contains almost all articles with 1Gb Dump files. You can easily select the dump files from the settings.
