Apple and Samsung are set to return to the patent courts once again with Apple looking to have the Samsung Galaxy Nexus banned in the US.
Arguing that the Nexus’ operating system, Android 4.0, infringes on a number of Apple held patents, the latest twist in the longstanding legal disputes will see Apple taken its court battles to America.
Repeatedly fought out in European courts, the latest patent case is the first Apple has brought against the Korean tech giant’s flagship Android 4.0 device on US soil.
Targeting four separate areas of the Android 4.0 OS and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus hardware, Apple is looking to have the dual-core device banned in part for its Siri mimicking unified search patent which allows users to search the web via voice.
