Mozilla updates Firefox for Android adding Flash, speed and enhanced security

Firefox for Android comes with one killer feature - you can synchronize it with your desktop Firefox and have all your bookmarks and pages straight on your phone, but now Mozilla is making its Android browser even better by adding speed and power to it.

Earlier last week, the company teased us that a “Fast. Smart. Safe.” Firefox is in the works, and now it’s out on Android’s Google Play.

The new Firefox brags with faster than stock Android browser performance in everything from startup through page loading and pinching in and out to zoom. Also, it’s now the fastest in benchmarks like SunSpider. The new Firefox also supports Adobe Flash so you can check out videos online and play Flash games.

The looks of the new Firefox browser are also brand new and more streamlined, with a start page which you get to personalize. The Awesome Screen as Mozilla humbly calls its browser search bar comes with browsing history, bookmarks, passwords and form data, all synced with what you already have set up on desktop (if you have Firefox Sync on, that is).

Thew new Firefox also comes with enhanced privacy options with features like Do Not Track and Master Password. It’s all free, so it wouldn’t hurt checking it out - the link is right below.
